We first started developing software for our own use.
We had often come across offices with legacy, stand alone accounts
systems where the sales department used another system and generated
invoices that then had to be entered all over again when they reached
the accounts department. If a customer's details changed both systems
would need to be updated with twice the opportunity for errors.
It seemed obvious to us that if all the different requirements of the
office could be integrated, then we would have a very efficient system.
So we built a simple system for small businesses using Microsoft Access
in which all the components can communicate with each other and data
only ever has to be entered once: Marketing – Online Orders – Sales –
Project Management – Stock Control – Purchasing – Main Database –
Invoicing – Accounts. The beauty of the software is
that, unlike so many 'off-the-shelf' systems it can easily be modified
to suit the exact requirements of many kinds of business but it is still
inexpensive. That way our clients finish up with an office system that
is tailor made to their requirements and capable of further modification
whenever growth or changes demand it. Deram Systems provide
full-featured suites of web server applications for e-Commerce, as well as custom software
development and IT system design. We also produce Database Management Systems
(DMS) for an ever increasing variety of organisations. These management systems range from
partial to full accounting systems including payroll and final accounts, to marketing
suites, to stock control and resource management.
Our systems
are modular so you need only buy what your particular circumstances call for at the time.
All the different possible combinations can be integrated seamlessly so that changes in
one part of the system can be reflected in any relevant data in other parts. If your
requirements change, new modules can be added. Needless-to-say our online order systems
can be fully integrated with a DMS as well.
All our systems are
designed to minimise data entry and have built in safeguards to ensure that data is as
accurate as possible. For example, a built in database of national place names, towns and
post codes enables automatic checking of prospect and customer address detail entry
no more misspelling of towns. Automatic checking of lead names avoids duplication in your
mailing lists. The systems can, of
course, also be linked to the Post Office database to provide address details from post
codes. Barcode readers can be incorporated to facilitate automatic entry of items on sales
systems.

clients' specific requirements. |
